District Scholarships
District Scholarships recognize high school graduates who have demonstrated execellence in their chosen area, within one of the following categories:
- Applied Design, Skills and Technologies (eg: Business, Technology, Home Economics, Media Arts, Tourism)
- Community Service (Volunteer Activity), which includes awareness of local, glabal and cultural issues
- Fine Arts (eg: Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Arts)
- Indigenous Language and Culture, demonstrated at school or in the community
- Languages from the Languages Curriculum or External Assessments
- Physical Activity (and Health) (eg: Athletics, Dance, Gymnastics)
- Technical & Trades Training (eg: Coding, Culinary, Mechanics, Robotics, Woodwork)
These awards are intended to help students pursue post-secondary education. A voucher of $1,250 is awarded to the recipients of a District Scholarship. For more information see the Counselling Office or talk to your homeroom teacher. Information is also available on the District website. Note: CVOL students do not need a nomination form.
